Why We Exist

We exist to help people move from where they are to where God wants them to be.

We want to be a people who care for, welcome, and support those around us in a way that can only be inspired by God. It's our hope that people who visit our church or interact with our people walk away feeling encouraged, refreshed, and drawn closer to God. We want every man, woman, and child in our community to have the chance to experience and respond to the Gospel in action through our church.

Our Values

Pray & Grow

We are rooted in Scripture and historic Christian faith. Through weekly worship, Bible study, prayer, and small groups, we seek to know God more deeply and grow in scriptural holiness.

Love & Serve

We believe the Gospel is good news for everyone. By reaching out to and serving those around us, we share God’s love and His message of hope in both word and deed throughout our community.

Serve & Go

We are committed to making disciples locally and globally. By equipping believers and supporting new churches and ministries, we extend Christ’s love beyond the South Strand to the nations.

Our Mission

● South Strand Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the South
Strand and beyond.
● We are a covenant people fully devoted to the one true God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In all we do, we seek to pray boldly,
love deeply, serve faithfully, and grow in the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we envision a multiplying community of disciples in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas who flourish in scriptural holiness as we worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

Through our worship, discipleship, outreach, and missions, we are committed to sharing the whole counsel of God and advancing the Kingdom of God in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and to the nations.

We watch over one another in love, care for the vulnerable, and serve as ambassadors of Christ in both word and deed.

Our Heart for the World

Jesus calls His followers to love God with all their heart and to love their neighbors as themselves. We believe we have been entrusted with a life-giving and transforming Gospel that must be shared boldly and faithfully. Our mission advances as people encounter Christ, become disciples, and join God’s mission to make more disciples — here on the South Strand and to the ends of the earth.

Our prayer is that every person who worships with us or encounters our church family leaves encouraged, refreshed, and drawn closer to God. We want every man, woman, and child across the South Strand to have the opportunity to experience and respond to the Gospel — not only in word, but in action.
